Workshop on the state of the art and next steps for the Butterfly Atlas!

On March 21, 2020, at the “La Fagiana” Park Center, the workshop “Atlas of the butterflies of the Ticino Park” will take place from 15.00 which will focus on the state of the art and the action plan for 2020!

This initiative aims to consolidate the active collaboration between the Park and the group of volunteers currently engaged in the creation of the butterfly atlas. The aim of the workshop is to identify, after the first census season, which detection units will have to be the object of future attention, as well as the temporal coverage will be discussed.

The workshop will be preceded by a visit to the “I Geraci” area where it will be possible to directly observe the interventions in favor of biodiversity carried out within the LIFE Biosource project.

The program is structured as follows:

10.30 am – Visit to the “I Geraci” area in Motta Visconti (MI): guide by Fabio Casale (Lombardy Foundation for the Environment

Lunch break – a packed lunch is proposed at the Geraci. Those who wish can go to the premises in the area.

3.00 pm – Workshop on “Butterfly Atlas: state of the art” at the La Fagiana Park Center in Pontevecchio di Magenta (MI)

16.30 – Planning of field activities for the year 2020

17.30 – Discussion on the Park checklist and possible update

Conclusion of the works at 18.00.
